The Office of Research, Contracts & Grants Accounting, the Office of the CFO and UF Information Technology are happy to announce the availability of myinvestiGator, an online reporting tool for sponsored projects.  The tool is part of the University’s commitment to provide increased accountability, transparency and efficiency in sponsored activities.

myinvestiGator was built based on interviews with over 50 faculty and staff from across campus.  These respondents provided valuable insight into the needs of investigators and administrators when managing sponsored project funds.  myinvestiGator focuses on intuitive views of sponsored project balances with the ability to quickly drill-down to the transaction details.

myinvestiGator helps to easily answer such questions as “How much money do I have left?” and “Can I hire another graduate student this summer?” The navigation and information is geared specifically to investigators with additional details available to administrators who can facilitate communication with core offices, review of balances and transactions, and other management functions.

The tool is accessible through myUFL by navigating to: Main Menu > myinvestiGator > myinvestiGator or directly at http://myinvestigator.erp.ufl.edu.  The tool is designed to be intuitive such that formal training courses will not be needed.  Online help is available by clicking on the help icon once logged in to the tool.

Departmental fiscal and human resources staff should serve as the primary contact on expenses and commitments within the tool.  Additional questions about the data or information presented in the tool can be directed to your Contracts & Grants Research Administrator (identified by entering your Department ID at: http://www.cg.cfo.ufl.edu/deptLookup.php).

Sponsors of the project who may be contacted with other feedback are:
