Curtis A. Reynolds, Vice President for Business Affairs, Office of Sustainability

The annual UF End-of-Year Collection Day is coming up on Wednesday, April 24. From 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the Office of Sustainability will be collecting unwanted household items and hazardous waste at the O’Connell Center, near Gate 1 and the parking garage. This is a wonderful opportunity to donate unwanted items for reuse, recycling, and safe disposal.

In addition to personal property, this year we are working in cooperation with UF Asset Management to include some University property. Decaled items must be accompanied by the appropriate paperwork from the MyAssets system, but all non- decaled furniture and peripherals are welcome and will be processed by Asset Management on site. UF chemicals and laboratory waste will not be accepted.

Additional items we are accepting include personal hazardous and electronic waste, school supplies, books, gently used clothing, and small household items. For more information and a detailed list of materials, visit www.sustainable.ufl.edu/collection.

Please help spread the word about REthink Collection Day by notifying your departments and sending an announcement to your mailing lists or printing a pdf poster from the website to post in your office area.
