Ceremonies: This spring, the university-wide commencement ceremonies will once again be held in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium (rain or shine), due to renovations occurring at the O’Connell Center.

There will be four university-wide commencement ceremonies coordinated by the President’s Office that will be held at 7 pm on Thursday, April 28; Friday, April 29; Saturday, April 30; and Sunday, May 1 in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.  The Doctoral Degree Ceremony will be held on Thursday, April 28, followed by three Master’s/Specialist’s/Bachelor’s Degrees Ceremonies on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings.

In addition to these four ceremonies at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, there are numerous ceremonies coordinated by individual colleges that will take place in either the University Auditorium or the Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.

Ordering Regalia: Regalia orders will be accepted through Tuesday, March 15, 2015. Information on ordering regalia is available from the UF Bookstore (392-0194). An order form may be found at http://www.registrar.ufl.edu/commencement/ under the heading in the upper right hand corner of the screen, ‘Academic Regalia,’ then scroll down to ‘Faculty Regalia Order’.  Payment is required when placing an order.  Formal academic regalia is required for all faculty members attending commencement as a platform party member or as an escort for doctoral degree candidates. Faculty members serving as a marshal do NOT need to order academic regalia – a marshal robe is provided to all marshals, free of charge, for use at the commencement ceremonies.

Faculty Escorts: Candidates for Doctor of Philosophy, Doctor of Education and Doctor of Plant Medicine degrees will be assigned an official commencement escort.  Faculty designated as escorts will receive an e-mail from the Office of the President with further details about responsibilities, assembly times and hooding instructions.  This e-mail is generally sent two weeks prior to commencement.  However, if you have a graduate student scheduled to graduate during the spring semester, please order your regalia on or before the March 15th deadline.
