Paula Fussell, Vice President, Human Resource Services

I am pleased to announce that on Friday, January 22, the UF Office of Human Resource Services will host a health and wellness fair designed specifically for faculty and staff. Benefits-eligible UF and UF Health employees are invited to attend “Windows to Wellness 2016” at Emerson Alumni Hall between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. to learn more about the many resources and programs available to them.

The day’s activities will include demonstrations and participatory activities, body composition screenings and stroke risk assessments, flu shots, healthy refreshments provided by Healthy Gators, retirement and financial planning workshops, chair massages, and information and resources representing our many “windows” to wellness.

In addition to visiting information tables from a wide variety of UF and UF Health organizations, participants may attend workshops throughout the day. The first ten participants in each workshop will receive a complimentary goody bag. The College of Health & Human Performance will also host a special lunch-and-learn workshop featuring UF alumna Fitz Koehler and will provide free lunch to 50 registrants.

By participating in the event, attendees can enter to win a variety of health and wellness door prizes, and those who bring a donation to UF’s Field and Fork Campus Food Pantry will receive a bonus entry.

I hope you will consider sharing information about the event with employees in your area. Managers are urged to support and encourage their employees’ participation, and attendance at this event should be considered time worked.
