I am pleased to announce the selection of Dr. Russell Froman as the university’s new Title IX Coordinator, effective August 21, 2017. Dr. Froman comes to this position from P.K. Yonge Developmental Research School at the University of Florida, where he served as a Deputy Title IX Coordinator as well as an administrator over Student Life and Behavioral Support. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this position. He directed all aspects of P.K. Yonge’s comprehensive Title IX program and has previous experience as a higher education administrator, including eight years as Assistant Director of Student Activities here at UF.

As UF’s Title IX Coordinator, Dr. Froman will take on primary responsibility for monitoring, supervising and overseeing all compliance related to Title IX, which protects individuals from discrimination based on gender. He will lead the university’s efforts to prevent discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation and intimate partner violence.

Dr. Froman has a M.S. in Psychology from Florida State University, an Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration from the University of Florida, and a J.D. from Stetson University College of Law.
