Heart, vascular and neuro services open in UF Health’s new hospitals
David S. Guzick, M.D., Ph.D.
UF Senior Vice President for Health Affairs
President, UF Health
Dear Colleagues:
On behalf of our UF Health executive leadership team, I am honored to announce that the inpatient and outpatient services at our two new hospitals — the UF Health Heart & Vascular Hospital and the UF Health Neuromedicine Hospital — are officially open.
Yesterday’s inpatient move efforts went smoothly with the safe and efficient transfer of 139 patients into the new hospitals, and today our medical specialty care practices have begun serving patients in their new location. Please see our Op Ed shared below, which appeared in the Gainesville Sun yesterday.
Special thanks to the incredible leadership and tireless commitment of our UF College of Medicine, UF Health Shands, UF Health Physicians and UF Health core service colleagues and teams for achieving such an incredible milestone in the evolution of UF Health. Together, we are moving medicine forward.
