UF selects new assistant vice president for student engagement in the Division of Student Affairs

Florida Minimum Wage Increase Effective January 1, 2019

In January, the state minimum wage will increase 21 cents from $8.25 to 8.46 per hour. UF Human Resources will identify employees, including OPS, STAS, and FWSP, currently earning an hourly rate less than $8.46 per hour.

The University’s minimum hourly wage for TEAMS and USPS employees will remain $13.00.

Holiday Closing Period for Faculty and Staff

In keeping with past practice, the University of Florida will be closed Tuesday, December 25 (Christmas), and Tuesday, January 1 (New Year’s Day), as well as the holiday closing period of December 26 through December 31. This holiday closing period is designed to offer departments the flexibility to close or significantly reduce staffing during the holiday season. The university will reopen Wednesday, January 2.

Applications to request Distance Learning Fees for the spring 2019 term is now being accepted through PeopleSoft. All departmental applications should be submitted no later than Friday, October 26, 2018 and Dean’s approval is required by Friday, November 2nd.

Timely Deactivation of Access Privileges
