Launch of New Faculty & Postdoc Recruitment System (Interfolio)
Jodi D. Gentry, Vice President for UF Human Resources
I am pleased to announce the launch of the Interfolio Faculty Search system for use in the recruitment and hiring of faculty and postdoctoral associates. Recognizing the unique nature of these hiring efforts, UF has invested in Interfolio to support our ongoing goal of attracting, identifying, engaging, evaluating and hiring exceptional scholars across disciplines.
The new system offers a variety of features that will improve experiences for hiring departments and search committees. These features include easier posting and reposting processes, a more efficient process for confidential reference letter collection, enhanced sorting and screening functionality, and tools for reviewing materials and narrowing candidate pools online.
Applicants for faculty and postdoc positions at UF will benefit from access to a free Interfolio Dossier account. Dossier is widely used and highly regarded as a user-centric platform that helps scholarly job applicants aggregate and deliver their materials quickly and easily to academic institutions.
A separate job board for faculty and postdoctoral positions also went live this week at http://facultyjobs.hr.ufl.edu.
UFHR is partnering with departments to transition all faculty and postdoc postings to the new system. Departments will continue to use the existing applicant tracking system for staff (regular and temporary) and student positions.
Information on training and other resources is being communicated directly to users based on their roles, through UF at Work and via other communication outlets. UFHR will update the Careers at UF Toolkit on the UFHR website to add training and instruction guides. Questions? Please contact employment@ufl.edu.
