It is a pleasure to share that our colleague, Cydney McGlothlin, has been named as the Assistant Vice President for Planning, Design and Construction at the University of Florida. Cydney is a licensed architect whose experience spans work in both the public and private sectors. Cydney has been with the University of Florida since 2003 and most recently served as the University Architect.
Cydney has worked to bring many of UF’s most important construction projects to life including the Wertheim Laboratory for Engineering Excellence, Reitz Union Expansion and has served in a leadership role for projects including Malachowsky Hall for Data Science & Information Technology, the UF Public Safety Building, and many more. In addition to her professional experience, Cydney has served in leadership roles including as the President of the Gainesville chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), as well as the Chair of UF’s Architectural Review Council.
