Kent Fuchs, Interim President

I am pleased to announce that Ryan Fuller has been named interim vice president and general counsel, effective today.

Ryan has practiced law since 2003 and joined the General Counsel’s office in 2012, serving as senior counsel for labor and employment law. He moved into the role of deputy general counsel in 2018, working with units across the university enterprise on a variety of significant matters touching all areas of university operations.

Before joining the office of the General Counsel, Ryan practiced labor and employment law in the Jacksonville, Florida office of Akerman Senterfitt. Ryan received his bachelor’s degree with honors and his juris doctorate with high honors, both from the University of Florida.

Ryan succeeds Amy Hass, who in August was named deputy athletic director/senior women’s administrator with the University Athletic Association.

Please join me in congratulating Ryan on his new role.
