Search for Dean of the College of Journalism & Communications

Joseph Glover, Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs

The Search Committee for the Dean of the College of Journalism and Communications has selected three finalists who will be visiting the campus during October:

  • Battinto L. Batts, Jr., Ph.D., currently Director of
    Journalism Strategies at the Scripps Howard Foundation, will visit campus
    October 1-2, 2020.
  • Aminda (Mindy) Marques Gonzalez, currently President &
    Publisher/Executive Editor at the Miami Herald, will visit campus October 5-6,
    2020
  • Hubert (Hub) Brown, currently Associate Dean for Research,
    Creativity, International Initiatives and Diversity, The S.I. Newhouse School
    of Public Communications, Syracuse University, will visit campus October 8-9,
    2020

Their schedules will include a presentation and Q & A session for all interested faculty, staff and students. These are scheduled for: 

Dr. Battinto Batts, October 5, 1:15-2:15 pm, 2050 Weimer Hall

Ms. Mindy Marques, October 5, 1:15-2:15 pm, 2050 Weimer Hall

Mr. Hub Brown, October 8, 1:15-2:15 pm, 2050 Weimer Hall
