Distance Learning Fees / Dates and Deadlines

Applications to request Distance Learning (DL) Fees for the Spring 2026 term are now being accepted through MyUFL. All departmental applications should be submitted no later than Friday, September 12th, 2025, and Dean’s approval is required by Friday, September 19th. 

Only costs associated with the delivery of eligible courses may be included in the DL fee. Eligible distance learning courses are state-funded, and at least 80 percent of the direct instruction of the course is delivered using some form of technology when the student and instructor are separated by time or space, or both.

Each semester, a new DL Fee request is required for approval for all eligible courses.
