Award of Document Destruction Contract

The University of Florida Purchasing Department, in collaboration with the University’s Privacy Office, is pleased to announce that Request for Proposal, RFP 07MB-159 for Document Destruction has been awarded to Cintas Document Management. Cintas Document Management is authorized to provide destruction and disposal services for restricted and sensitive data in any format including paper, videos, computer tapes and hard drives. Cintas Document Management can provide either on-premise or local off-premise destruction or disposal service. Account pricing will be based on the service option that is chosen.

Cintas does not sub-contract their work and their organization is certified by the National Association for Information Destruction (NAID), an international trade association which recognizes companies that meet NAID’s best practice guidelines. Cintas has also assured the University of Florida that all paper destroyed will be recycled at a rate of 100% and will be reported to the UF Recycling Department on a monthly basis.

Cintas Document Management Service is available to any University organization that creates and disposes of restricted or sensitive information, i.e. financial, medical, or personnel records.
