nearly 15 years at UF and 8 years serving as Vice President for Enrollment
Management and Associate Provost, Zina Evans has announced her intention to
leave UF in June to pursue a new opportunity at the Education Finance
Institute. She will become Senior Vice President there working on
enrollment management and student success initiatives at minority serving
institutions including HBCUs.

am pleased to announced that Spiro Kiousis, executive associate dean of the
University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications, has been
appointed interim dean effective Jan. 1, 2021.
Diane
McFarlin will retire at the end of the year after eight years as dean. Hub
Brown, associate dean and associate professor at the Newhouse School of Public

I am pleased to announce that Hub Brown, associate dean and
associate professor at the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse
University, has been named dean of the University of Florida College of
Journalism and Communications.
Professor Brown will assume his new position on July 1,
2021. He succeeds Diane McFarlin, who will retire at the end of this year after
