In the case of material, financial and managerial interests, the information extends to the spouse and/or child of the employee. Awards to student employees generally fall into two categories, employment and non-employment recognition. An example of an employment related award is recognition of graduate assistants for excellence in teaching. Physical Plant Division announced the electrical utility rate for the current fiscal year based on a fuel adjustment increase from Florida Power effective with the April 1st billing. This increase has been rescinded and a credit of $157,018.48 was issued to Physical Plant Division on the July invoice. We will credit this refund to our customers based on actual consumption for April, May and June. You will see this on your August invoice (received in September).

As most of you know, this new scholarship has been established for graduate assistants and fellows who demonstrate financial need. The scholarship is funded by a portion of the new tuition increase, which the Florida legislature has mandated to be used for need-based student aid. As with most other scholarships, these funds will be paid to eligible recipients through Student Financial Affairs (SFA) and University Financial Services (UFS).
