The George A. Smathers Libraries announce the launch of the online reference service, RefeXpress, with a reception/demonstration for UF faculty on Thursday, February 22, 1-4 p.m. in room 107 of the Marston Science Library. Refreshments will be served at the reception.

RefeXpress is an electronic, real-time discussion space where users may ask librarians at the University of Florida for help with research. RefeXpress is accessed from the Smathers Libraries’ home page (http://www.uflib.ufl.edu) by clicking on the RefeXpress logo, or on the help links anywhere on the Libraries’ Web pages. The RefeXpress service enables students and faculty who are researching online to chat one-on-one with a librarian, and receive immediate help with a question without leaving their computer. RefeXpress is available Monday-Thursday 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. For more information contact Jana Ronan at 392-4919 or jronan@ufl.edu.

When RefeXpress is not available, questions may be submitted via e-mail by selecting “Ask A Reference Question: from the Libraries’ Web pages or by calling the Library West reference desk at 392-0361 or the Marston Science Library reference desk at 392-2836.
