UF Controller Announcement
Ed Poppell, Vice President for Finance and Administration
We are pleased to announce that Mr. Michael McKee has accepted the position of Controller for the University of Florida. Mike is currently an Associate Controller in Finance and Accounting and previously served as the Assistant Controller for University Financial Services. Prior to this tenure with the University, Mike was the Chief Finance Officer for the St. Johns River Water Management District in Palatka, Florida. Mike also spent 19 years as an auditor with the State Auditor General’s Office. Mike is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Government Finance Officer. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Government Accountants, and both the National and Florida Government Finance Officers Associations. Mike brings a strong background in government accounting, auditing, financial reporting, and management to the position of University Controller. Mike will officially assume the responsibility of Controller effective July 1, 2003. Please join me in welcoming Mike to his new position and assisting him in the transition to Controller.
