The Graduate School seeks to attract an individual to the position of Associate Dean of the Graduate School. The Associate Dean will report to the Dean of the Graduate School. Duties will include professional development for Graduate Faculty, coordinating TA orientation, and managing minority recruitment, retention and special programs, including McNair and McKnight Fellowships. The position requires a doctorate or highest degree in the discipline and Graduate Faculty appointment. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, a thorough understanding of graduate education, and sensitivity to issues and concerns of underrepresented groups. Experience managing grants is strongly preferred. Computer proficiency is necessary. The deadline for applications is April 20, 2004. The position begins July 1, 2004 or sooner.
