Kyle Cavanaugh, Senior Vice President for Administration

I am pleased to announce that in recognition of Homecoming, the University of Florida will be closed on Friday, October 24, 2008. No classes will be held except for those in the Levin College of Law through 12:00 p.m. The decision to close during Homecoming was based upon ongoing feedback and suggestions from faculty and staff across the campus.

The following clinics within the Health Science Center will remain open to serve patients: College of Medicine, College of Medicine Jacksonville, College of Veterinary Medicine, and the College of Nursing Archer Clinic. HSC faculty, staff, and students with clinic responsibilities must check with their respective colleges to determine their schedules.

IFAS Research and Education Centers will be closed for the holiday. County Extension Offices will continue to observe their county holiday schedules.

Essential personnel who are required to work to support campus or off-campus operations will be contacted directly by their supervisors.

Thank you for your ongoing contributions and Go Gators!
