New Assistant Vice President for Business Affairs/Physical Plant Director

I am pleased to announce Curtis Reynolds has accepted the positions of Assistant Vice President for Business Affairs and Director for the Physical Plant Division at the University of Florida. As most of you know, Mr. Dave O’Brien, Physical Plant Director for the last 15 years, will retire June 30, 2010.

Mr. Reynolds currently serves as the Vice President for Facilities Management at Miami Dade College in Miami, Florida, a post he has held since 2006. He worked in a similar position at the University of Alabama at Birmingham prior to joining Miami Dade College. He begins his new role at UF on June 14, 2010.

Mr. Reynolds holds a master’s degree in Management from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. Mr. Reynolds is a professional engineer, and is a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers, Association of Higher Education Facilities Officers, U.S. Green Building Council, and Design Build Institute of America, among other professional organizations.
