I am pleased to announce that Jeff Chorlog, associate director for utilities services at UF’s Physical Plant Division (PPD), has agreed to serve as interim assistant vice president for physical plant. He will begin his new duties January 16, 2012.

Jeff has held key operational, fiscal and administrative leadership positions in PPD during his 26 years at the university. A UF graduate with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering , he previously served as PPD’s associate director for resource management. Jeff also has nine years of experience in the nuclear power industry.

He succeeds me, as I have assumed the role of vice president for business affairs. A search for a permanent successor will begin soon.
