Announcing Sherri Mizrahy as Assistant Director of UF’s Institutional Review Boards

The Office of Research is pleased to announce the appointment of Sherri Mizrahy as Assistant Director of UF’s Institutional Review Boards within the Office of Research. As Assistant Director, Ms. Mizrahy will be responsible facilitating the use of the IRBs and administering the University of Florida’s compliance under the rules and regulations of the FDA, NIH/OHRP, which safeguard the rights and welfare of human subjects, and other applicable regulatory agencies. She will replace Michael P. Mahoney, Director of Operations and Services in the Office of Research.

Sherri Mizrahy has served as the interim Assistant Director for IRBs for the last six months and previously served as the Quality Assurance Coordinator in the IRB here at UF since 2009 with primary responsibility to Perform For Cause and Random audits of investigator research at the IRBs. Prior to her IRB experience, Sherri was a pediatric oncology research nurse coordinator for 11 years. Sherri received her Master of Science in Child Health Nursing from the University of Florida in 1998.
