I am pleased to announce that Mr. Carlos M. Dougnac has accepted the position of Assistant Vice President for Planning, Design and Construction effective April 27, 2015.

Mr. Dougnac is a Florida registered architect and state certified general contractor with more than 30 years of experience in the private and public sectors. Responsible for the implementation of the University of Delaware’s capital improvement program, Mr. Dougnac has provided guidance for planning, design and construction activities. In 2007, he joined Miami Dade College as Associate Vice Provost/College Architect, spearheading the institution’s “basis of design” standards for its eight campuses and leading the project management services group for all construction projects. Mr. Dougnac’s private sector experience encompasses both architectural and construction management functions for a variety of building types.

A graduate of the University of Miami with a degree in Architecture (Magna Cum Laude), Mr. Dougnac holds US Green Building Council certification as LEED Accredited Professional. He is an avid aviator who looks forward to joining the Gator Nation and the team of professionals at UF’s Planning, Design and Construction department.
