UF emergency exercise planned

A UF emergency exercise is planned for Thursday morning (July 30) in and around Ben Hill Griffin
Stadium between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m.

The exercise will involve volunteers with simulated injuries, law enforcement agencies,
fire departments and other public safety personnel. UF police officers will be stationed
around the exercise area to help direct pedestrian and vehicle traffic. There will also be
public safety vehicles stationed near the South side of the stadium.

Important Impacts and Times:

•Ben Hill Griffin Stadium Access
o The Stadium will be closed from 7 a.m. to noon.
o Pedestrian traffic outside the southeast corner of Ben Hill Griffin
o Stadium around Gate 16 will be limited between 7a.m through 12 p.m.
o All University Athletic Association Administrative offices, University of
Florida offices in Stadium West, Gator Ticket Office and the Heavener Football Complex
main entrance will remain accessible.

UF remains committed to the safety of the campus community, and participation in this
exercise is an important component in maintaining and improving university emergency
operations.
