In an effort to better reflect the range of proactive, customer-oriented services it provides to the UF community, UF Purchasing will change its name to UF Procurement Services, effective March 1. This name-change better represents the unit’s evaluative and strategic services—including market research, vendor solicitation, competitive sourcing, contract negotiation, compliance and cost-reducing solutions—as well as its traditional purchasing services. The change also reflects a national trend toward this broader descriptor.

Procurement Services’ professionals provide a wide range of expertise and look forward to partnering with UF’s departments and units to find creative recommendations and cost-effective solutions that support the university’s needs.
