Dear Colleagues:

I am pleased to announce that Dr. Shailendra Singh has been named Director of Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) at the University of Florida, effective August 6.

Dr. Singh recently served as the Director of Environmental Health and Safety at Carnegie Mellon University. In addition, he established and developed the department of EH&S at Brammer Bio to success and led a team of EH&S experts at the University of Delaware.  Dr. Singh also served thirteen years at UF, his alma mater.

Dr. Singh has a Ph.D. in Physical Science, a Master of Business Administration degree, and is a Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM), with more than eighteen years of experience in the industry.  

Please join me in congratulating Dr. Singh on his new role at UF’s Office of Environmental Health and Safety.
