New F&A (indirect) Rates

The University of Florida has been issued new F&A (indirect) rates effective immediately. New rates are listed at http://research.ufl.edu/faculty-and-staff/proposal-development-submission/budgeting-information/fa-rates-idc.html. The On-campus Research rate increases from 50% to 52.5%.  The following provides details on the impact of these increases on new proposals, existing awards, and pending awards:

I am pleased to announce the selection of Melissa Nunn as the university’s new Title IX Coordinator, effective August 1, 2016. Melissa is pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and earned her master’s in Family, Youth and Community Sciences from the University of Florida and her bachelor’s in Communications and Theatre Arts from Mercer University. New Facilities & Administrative (Indirect Cost) Rates

I am pleased to announce that we have received final approval from the federal Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) for our new Indirect Cost rates. These new rates have been negotiated with the DHHS to apply to our sponsored programs. The rates have been negotiated through fiscal year ending June 30, 2019. All projects with beginning dates on or after July 1, 2015 will be subject to the new rates.

New Catering Protocols, Improved System begins July 1

Beginning July 1, the University of Florida will implement the Approved Caterer Program for caterers providing food services (including alcoholic beverages, when applicable) for events on campus. The new Program will identify University-approved caterers and streamline the process of securing catering services for campus units, while enforcing existing University standards.
