The Board of the University Women’s Club has approved three (3) scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each to be awarded to graduate students this year. The student must, at least, be completing the first year of graduate study and must be a US citizen and permanent resident. The awards for men and women are based on scholastic excellence, character, and financial need. Only one student may be nominated by a department or program.

HRS offices to move to new location April 23

On April 23, Human Resource Services will move to its new location at 903 West University Avenue (formerly the BellSouth Building). The completely renovated building will be home to all HRS offices currently located in the Ben Hill Griffin Stadium as well as Academic Personnel, currently located in Tigert Hall, and HRS’s Education and General/Auxiliaries satellite office, currently located at the Reitz Union.

New Courier Services Contract

Purchasing Services would like to announce the award of the new “Courier Services” contract. Contract ITN07HK-120, effective March 19, 2007 has been awarded to Federal Express. Federal Express will be the University’s prime provider for Courier Services which include overnight/next day delivery, international and ground package services.

This contract will provide approximately a 24% overall savings to the University. Existing University of Florida/Federal Express accounts have already been converted to the new contract price schedule.
