On September 16, 2004, the University of Florida Faculty Senate endorsed the concept of a campus-wide Water Institute and recommended that a Faculty Launch Team be formed to proceed with establishment of the Institute.

UF Classes and Offices to Resume Normal Schedules on Tuesday, Sept. 28

All classes and administrative offices will resume normal schedules on Tuesday, September 28.

University officials are very aware of the many individual situations that students, faculty and staff may be facing as a result of the recent storm.

University employees are urged to contact their supervisor as soon as possible in the event they are unable to report for work due to extreme circumstances.

UF Classes Cancelled and Administrative Offices Closed Monday, Sept. 27

Due to extreme weather conditions, all classes and activities are cancelled and all University of Florida non-essential administrative offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 27.

University officials continue to monitor local and regional conditions as they develop. It is anticipated that all classes, activities and administrative offices will resume normal schedules on Tuesday, Sept. 28.

University of Florida officials are closely monitoring the speed and track of Hurricane Jeanne. Any decisions regarding changes in schedules of classes and university administrative operations will be communicated widely based on official forecasts from the National Weather Service.

Continue to monitor the UF’s Web site, www.ufl.edu, the local media, including UF radio stations WRUF-AM 850, WRUF-FM 103.7, WUFT-FM 89.1, WJUF-FM 90.1 and television station WUFT-TV 5 for further updates.
