Pay Date Change

In honor of the National Day of Mourning for former President Ronald Reagan, Federal Offices will be closed on Friday, June 11, 2004. The Bureau of State Payrolls (BOSP) has changed the warrant date for the biweekly payroll from Friday, June 11, 2004 to Thursday, June 10, 2004. The cutoff for cancellation of Direct Deposit payments will now be 2:00 PM EST Tuesday, June 8, 2004.

Discontinuation of Diners Club “Ghost” Card at Travel Agencies

Effective June 11, 2004, the University of Florida will discontinue using the Diners Club “Ghost” card as a means of charging airfare at travel agencies. The University started its own Purchasing Card Program effective April 1, 2004 and as part of that program, departments may use the Purchasing Card to pay airfare regardless of the source of funds being used. The University of Florida began its own Purchasing Card program on April 1, 2004. Our new Purchasing Card provider is Wachovia Bank in partnership with MBNA. The new UF Purchasing Card program will allow the purchase of gasoline. The purchase of gasoline is for use in State vehicles only. This is allowed on any UF purchasing card. NEW Direct Deposit Form

The University Controller’s Office has revised the employee Direct Deposit Authorization form for the transition to PeopleSoft. Please see the following link: http://fa.ufl.edu/forms/?fid=077. Beginning June 1, 2004 all direct deposit actions should be submitted to University Payroll Services instead of the State Comptroller’s Office.

The remaining six State Universities will discontinue use of FLAIR July 1, 2004 in accordance with Section 1011.4105, Florida Statutes.
