Proposed 2021-2022 Fringe Benefit Pool Rates

The University has calculated the new proposed pooled fringe
rates for fiscal year 2021-2022 and has submitted them to the U.S. Department
of Health and Human Services.  Although
we do not expect any objections, the proposed rates are subject to DHHS
approval and should be used with that understanding in your planning for fiscal
year 2021-2022.  The rates, when approved,
will be effective July 1, 2021.

The pooled rates include the following employer-paid costs of
taxes and benefits:

Summer and Fall 2021 Textbook Adoptions

The textbook adoption system for Summer and Fall 2021 is now
available to faculty and departments to submit their textbook adoptions and
materials requirements.  Please visit http://www.textadoption.ufl.edu/ to
enter Summer and Fall 2021 adoptions. 

For compliance with Florida Statutes, please submit
adoptions no later than the following:

Summer 2021 adoptions: March 26, 2021.  Fall 2021 adoptions: July 9, 2021.

In order to facilitate timely ordering of materials by the
UF Bookstore, please submit Fall adoptions, by March 26, 2021.

Fulbright Awareness Week 2021

Fulbright Awareness Week will be celebrated from 1-5 March 2021. In
collaboration with the UF Fulbright Lectures Committee, UF Honors, the Graduate
School, College of Arts, UF IFAS, College of Education, Levin College
of Law, Career Connections Center, and the North Florida Fulbright Alumni
Association, multiple informational sessions for scholars, faculty and staff

Chief Diversity Officer

After a successful tenure as the
first Chief Diversity Officer at the University of Florida, Antonio Farias will
leave for a new position as vice chancellor at the University of Colorado
Denver.

Farias said he made the
decision for family reasons and to take advantage of a unique opportunity to serve
as vice chancellor for diversity, equity and inclusion at CU Denver, which is

Distance Learning Fees/Dates and Deadlines

Applications
to request Distance Learning Fees for the Summer and Fall 2021 terms are now
being accepted through MyUFL. All departmental applications should be submitted
no later than Wednesday, February 17, 2021 and Dean’s approval is required by Tuesday,
February 23, 2021.   

Reminder:  DL Fees applications are required each semester for all applicable courses
