the appointment of Adrian Tyndall, M.D., M.P.H., to a new, system-level role as
associate vice president for strategic and academic affairs for UF Health, a
position that sits in the Office of the Senior Vice President for Health
Affairs and has responsibilities that extend across the enterprise. In

Distance Learning Fees / Dates and Deadlines

Applications to request Distance Learning Fees for the spring 2021 term is now being accepted through PeopleSoft.  All departmental applications should be submitted no later than Wednesday November 4 and Dean’s approval is required by Tuesday November 10.

(Reminder, DL Fees applications are required each semester for all
courses as they are not carried over.)

Spring 2021 Textbook Adoptions

departments to submit their textbook adoptions and materials requirements.  Please visit http://www.textadoption.ufl.edu/ to
enter spring 2021 adoptions. 

In
order to facilitate timely ordering of materials by the UF Bookstore, please
submit adoptions, by October 26, 2020.

The
deadline for spring 2021 adoptions is November
21, 2020 for compliance with Florida Statutes.

Compliance and Ethics Training Requirement

University of Florida will launch a new compliance training course on October
1, 2020. This online training is mandatory for all University of Florida
employees, as required by Florida Board of Governors’ Regulation 4.003.

The training
module, called “Doing Your Part for the Gator Good!”, introduces the UF
Compliance and Ethics Program and reviews important provisions of the Florida
Code of Ethics. Additionally, the training discusses employees’

literacy, notice when students show signs of stress, learn how to talk about these

invited to submit nominations for the UF Teacher/Scholar of the Year Award for
2020-2021.  Originating in 1960, this is the University of Florida’s most
prestigious and oldest faculty award. 

It offers an
honorarium of $6,000 in addition to other appropriate recognition, such as the
