Important dates concerning Spring term tuition payment processing dates are listed below. Please be reminded that signed contracts (letters of appointment) are required for all Graduate Assistants. Completing an “on-line” letter of appointment does not replace the need to complete a contractual letter of appointment as specified in Article 2 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Payroll Tax Rates for 2001

The new income tax withholding rates will go into effect January 1, 2001. The following Tables for Percentage Method of Withholding may be used to determine your biweekly withholding tax in calendar year 2001.

Transfer Student Orientation Parking Impacts

This is a reminder that Transfer Student Orientation will impact parking on Thursday, January 4, 2001. The gates will be raised at the Newell parking garage to accomodate Preview attendees. Parking enforcement will be lifted for all Orange parking areas in the vicinity of the Reitz Union. Preview attendees will also be allowed to park in the McCarty parking lots and the Engineering lot across Museum Drive from the Reitz Union.

State and University Employee Fee Waivers

This is to inform you that beginning with the Spring 2001 semester laboratory courses will be available to staff on a space available basis as provided in accordance with the Board of Regent’s rule and the Florida Statute.

The only courses not eligible for employee fee waivers are:

“TBA (to be arranged), individualized courses, distance learning courses, internships, and dissertation and master’s thesis courses.”

The Board of Regent’s rule and Florida Statute provide for no exceptions to these courses.

Flu Vaccine Available From SHCC

Flu vaccine has arrived and will now be offered to all students, staff and faculty who wish to receive it. Outreach clinics located across campus will begin December 4th and continue through December 14th. The vaccine costs $10 and only cash will be accepted at these clinics.
