Technical Training

This is to announce that the Summer curriculum of CIRCA’s Technical Assistance Program (TAP) will be offered starting the week of Wednesday, July 12th, 2000.

The Technical Assistants Program is designed to train students or staff who provide technical support in academic units. Departments may send full-time or student employees to TAP training.

TAP participants may elect to attend any or all of the subject areas being offered. These include: Client Services, Desktop Services, Webpage Design and Internet Essentials.

New Functional Names for UF Residence Halls

The UF Division of Housing has received authorization to change the functional names of three residence halls. On July 3, 2000, these name changes will occur:

Apartment Residence Facility will become the Keys Residential Complex
1995 Residence Facility will become the Springs Residential Complex
Residence Hall 2000 will become Lakeside Residential Complex

Operating Budget Procedures

In accordance with the Standard Practice from the State University System (SUS), the Operating Budget for next year will be installed on the Florida Accounting Information Resource System (FLAIR). In the event the new year Operating Budget is not installed on the FLAIR by July 21, 2000, available balance override will be authorized to allow all processing to continue until it is posted.
