The Engineering and Science Fair 1999 will be held February 8-10, 1999, from 7:00am -4:00pm. The fair typically has from 80-100 companies and over 200 recruits in attendance.
Accordingly, the top level of the O’Connell Center parking garage will be reserved for their use during this time.

The 1998 Legislature exempted the State University System from most of the requirements contained in Chapter 287 of the Florida Statutes. Effective January 13, 1999 Purchasing will be operating under Rules of the Board of Regents rather than the Statutes. I am pleased to announce expanded hours and services at the Student Health Care Center at Shands satellite clinic. This Spring, the clinic will have expanded appointment times for students, as well as a Travel Clinic offering medical counseling and vaccinations for those planning international travel. Travel Clinic services are available to University students, faculty, and staff by appointment only.

For the past six months, Physical Plant Division’s Motor Pool has searched for an effective replacement system of providing rental cars to campus departments. We have not been able to secure a supply of quality automobiles that will allow us to operate at an acceptable level. For this reason we will be terminating our leasing operation on June 30, 1999. We regret we will no longer be able to provide this service to the campus community.
