In an effort to better reflect the range of proactive, customer-oriented services it provides to the UF community, UF Purchasing will change its name to UF Procurement Services, effective March 1. This name-change better represents the unit’s evaluative and strategic services—including market research, vendor solicitation, competitive sourcing, contract negotiation, compliance and cost-reducing solutions—as well as its traditional purchasing services. Faculty members being considered for tenure, permanent status, and/or promotion in the academic year 2016-17 must be made aware of the website URL where they can find the University’s “Guidelines and Information Regarding the Tenure, Permanent Status and Promotion Process for 2016-2017”.
