College of Engineering CETS moving to OIT-Network Services

I am pleased to announce that the Computer & Electronic Technical Services/Digital Design Facility (CETS/DDF) previously hosted within the College of Engineering has become part of the OIT-Network Services organization. CETS/DDF has served the University of Florida community since the mid- 1980s. The move of the network installation team brings value to the newly created OIT-Network Services organization. Power Outage at UF Motor Pool

Physical Plant Division wanted to alert Motor Pool customers, that because of a scheduled power outage on February 2, 2002, the gasoline pumps at the Motor Pool will be inoperative.

Please plan for this event and ensure that vehicles obtain fuel on Friday. The Motor Pool pumps will return to normal self-service status on Sunday. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Reduction in Physical Plant Services

Recent budget reductions have driven a comprehensive review of services provided by the Physical Plant Division (PPD) to Health Center and Educational and General (E&G) facilities.

Facility occupants have already been asked by President Young to help conserve energy to drive down utility costs, which is a large portion of the Plant Operation and Maintenance (PO&M) budget. However, there is a need to find additional areas to trim PO&M costs to meet current budget levels.
