Fiscal Year-End Compensatory Leave Cash Out

All special and overtime compensatory leave on balance as of May 5 will be cashed out during the pay period ending May 19, 2005. Overtime and special compensatory leave earned after May 5 will be part of the 2005-06 fiscal year balances.

In keeping with past practice, departments are strongly encouraged to require employees to use accrued compensatory leave prior to the cash out to minimize compensatory leave cash-out payments.

Corrections to Budget Error Vouchers

Purchasing and Disbursement Services (PDS) has contacted departments throughout the year in an effort to resolve vouchers in budget error status. Many of these errors remain unresolved. As we approach the end of the fiscal year, vouchers in budget error status need to be resolved. PDS will continue to work with departments as budget errors occur, but now vouchers with a budget status of “error” will be handled as follows:

Equipment Maintenance Expenses

With the end of the fiscal year approaching, departments with equipment enrolled in the Specialty Underwriter’s Equipment Maintenance program need to take the following steps in order to maximize the benefits derived from the program:

* Schedule any repairs that are needed so that they may be completed during the remaining quarter of the fiscal year.

Study Abroad in Israel

The International Center will resume assisting UF students to study abroad in Israel. This decision is part of an ongoing review of study abroad and international opportunities and is motivated by continuing student interest in credit-bearing educational experiences in Israel. Students wishing to study in Israel should consult their academic advisors to discuss how it can be incorporated into their degree programs and should discuss with the International Center’s Study Abroad Advisors the options that are available.
