I am pleased to announce that UF is participating in a new program designed to select scientists, technologists and engineers for one year fellowships with the U.S. Department of State. Called the Jefferson Science Fellows (JSF), the program is open to U.S. citizens holding a tenured faculty position at UF. The Chief Financial Officer of the State has announced that the pay date of December 26, 2003 will be moved up to December 24, 2003, Christmas Eve. Our schedule for this payday has been revised as well. The early pay date means that our previously published certification and authorization deadline has been changed. Certifications will open on Friday, December 12, 2003 and must be authorized by 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 15, 2003.
