As in previous years, the Operating Budget for 2002-2003 will be posted to your Departmental Ledgers (FLAIR) effective July 1, 2002. In the event the new year Operating Budget is not installed on the FLAIR by July 19, 2002, available balance override will be authorized to allow all processing to continue until it is posted.

The University of Florida Motor Pool will experience a scheduled power outage on June 8, 2002. Because of this temporary suspension of power, there will be NO fuel dispensing at the Motor Pool from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on that day.
We wanted to make all Motor Pool users aware of this event so that departments can plan accordingly.

I am very pleased to announce that Dr. Teresa Dolan has agreed to accept the position of Interim Dean in the College of Dentistry effective June 1. Currently the college’s associate dean for education, Dr. Dolan will serve in the interim dean capacity until July 1, 2004. She is an outstanding member of the faculty and is widely respected by her colleagues, students, and those in the dental profession.

Each year Academic Affairs offers the opportunity to extend current assignments for 12 month OPS faculty, post-doctoral employees, residents, interns, clinical fellows, and 12 month graduate assistants (Job Code C) in the personnel/payroll system into the new fiscal year via a computer listing. This procedure eliminates the time and effort it would take to prepare appointment forms for these employees.
