On January 1, 2002, Dr. Sue M. Legg will step down as Director of the Office of Instructional Resources (OIR), after long and distinguished service to the University of Florida. Sue began her work with OIR in 1974 as a statistician. In 1977, she was promoted to Assistant Director of Testing and Evaluation, and three years later she became Associate Director, a position she held until 1995. UF employees and students who may be exposed to bloodborne pathogens while at the university should familiarize themselves with the new “UF Guidelines for Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure,” effective November 1. In particular, residents, graduate assistants, teaching assistants and student assistants should be aware of updates to policy regarding such exposure.

Due to a reorganization of the Insurance Coordinator position, some of the duties previously performed by that position have now been transferred to the Accounting Controls Department of Finance and Accounting. These duties include: processing vehicle registrations/titles, vessel registrations and the Voyager Gasoline charge cards.

Pursuant to state and federal laws, the University of Florida has implemented a military leave policy for employees called to active duty in the current deployment of forces.
Employees who are called to active duty should notify their supervisors immediately. Formal orders to report should be submitted as soon as they are available.
