The use of the Purchasing Card (Pcard) has been expanded and has been approved for official business travel effective immediately. Currently issued Pcards are not active for travel purchases. Future Pcards will be issued under one of three purchasing profiles:

Commodity Only Pcards………….($1000 limit per transaction)
Travel Only Pcards……………….($2000 limit per transaction)
Travel and Commodity Pcards…..($2000 Travel / $1000 Commodities limit per transaction)

Operating Budget Procedures

In accordance with the Standard Practice from the State University System (SUS), the Operating Budget for next year will be installed on the Florida Accounting Information Resource System (FLAIR) effective July 1, 2001. Please remind your staff of the following critical processing deadlines for student employees for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2001.

1. All Federal Work Study (FWS) student assistant appointment forms (SP/100s) for new hires, payrate adjustments, account changes and hour increase or decrease for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2001 must reach the Student Employment Section no later than 4:00 p.m. on Monday, June 21, 2001.

Poppell Named Vice President for Administrative Affairs

Change in Management and Administration Operations of University Auditorium

O’Connell Center Parking Impact on May 25, 2001

Parking restrictions will be lifted at all O’Connell Center parking facilities on May 25, 2001 at 12:00 p.m. for attendees of the TIP Recognition Ceremony. Regular users of these facilities should be aware that if they vacate their space after 12:00 p.m. on May 25, 2001, it may be unavailable if they attempt to return to it.
