Beginning June 1, 2000, the University of Florida’s International Center will provide immigration services to departments hiring employees for USPS, A&P, and OPS Professional positions. This will provide “one-stop-shopping” convenience for departments seeking immigration assistance, and it will help facilitate the processing of applications.

Norb Dunkel Named Director of Housing

I am pleased to announce that Norb Dunkel has been named Director of Housing at UF, effective June 26, 2000. Dunkel will be replacing James Grimm who is retiring at the end of this fiscal year. Dunkel currently serves as Associate Director for Staff and Student Development for the Division of Housing.

College Name Change

The Board of Regents has approved two name changes. The College of Architecture is now the College of Design, Construction and Planning. The Department of Architecture is now the School of Architecture.

The newly-named College of Design, Construction and Planning is composed of two schools, the Rinker School of Building Construction and the School of Architecture, plus the three departments of Interior Design, Landscape Architecture and Urban and Regional Planning.
