Criteria for Tenure and Promotion

Would you please send me the college/unit or department criteria that were used by your college/unit during this year’s tenure and promotion process. I would also like to receive a description of the process that your college, program or departments used in soliciting letters of evaluation. REVISED Vehicle Contract Rental Rates

Revised Avis Vehicle Contract Rental Rates are effective January 1, 2000. Adjustments to rental rates are required due to increases in commercial rental rates and the cost of fuel. You can view the Revised Avis Vehicle Contract Rental Rates at the link below.

Departmental Information Sessions Available for Spring 2000 Semester

As a service to the University community, the Committee on Persons with Disabilities is coordinating departmental ADA information sessions throughout the academic year. The information sessions have been coordinated through the ADA Office and the Dean of Students Office.

The purpose of the information sessions is to answer questions faculty and staff have about educating students with disabilities, including appropriate methods of providing accommodations.

Changes to University Preferred Travel Agency Contract

Effective January 1, 2000 the University Contract with Preferred Travel Agencies has been modified to allow for the payment of a $10 service fee for each domestic, international ticket, or paper ticket purchased through University Preferred Travel Agencies. In addition, University Procedures have been modified to allow business travelers to make ticket purchases directly from airlines or on the Worldwide Web. Travelers should provide justification for these purchases, when seeking reimbursement for the ticket cost.

Important dates concerning Spring term tuition payment processing are listed below. Please be reminded that signed contracts (letters of appointment) are required for all Graduate Assistants. Completing an “on-line” letter of appointment does not replace the need to complete a contractual letter of appointment as specified in Article 2 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

The new income tax withholding rates will go into effect January 1, 2000. The table for Percentage Method of Withholding may be used to determine your biweekly withholding tax in calendar year 2000.
