Holiday Closing Period for Faculty and Staff

In keeping with past practice,
the University of Florida will be closed Wednesday, December 25 (Christmas),
and Wednesday, January 1 (New Year’s Day), as well as the holiday closing
period of December 26 through December 31. This holiday closing period is
designed to offer departments the flexibility to close or significantly reduce
staffing during the holiday season. The university will reopen Thursday,
January 2.

UF Employee Education Program (EEP) is an opportunity funded by university
resources that enables full-time UF TEAMS, Academic Personnel and USPS
employees who have been employed for at least six months to receive tuition
assistance for up to six credit hours of eligible college-level courses per
semester. Faculty and staff who wish to take college courses through the
Employee Education Program (EEP) must adhere to application, submission and

Wimsett, Jr., JD, has been named Assistant Vice President for Conflicts of
Interest for UF. In this role, Gary will oversee the further development and
full implementation of UFOLIO, UF’s online interest organizer for outside activity
