Changes to the 2017-18 Financial Aid Application Process

This memorandum is provided to inform UF departments, faculty, and staff of changes to the financial aid application process. To apply for financial aid at the University of Florida, students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.gov. Starting with the 2017-18 financial aid application cycle, the following changes will take effect:

The textbook adoption system for Spring 2017 is now available to faculty and departments to submit their Spring 2017 textbook adoptions and materials requirements.  Please visit http://www.textadoption.ufl.edu/ to enter Spring 2017 adoptions.  You will notice a small change to the adoption system effective this term.  When entering an adoption, you will see an “Adoption Agreement” that states the following:

Distance Learning Course Fees / Dates and Deadlines

Applications to establish, edit, or continue existing Distance Learning Course Fees for the Spring, 2017 term are now being accepted through PeopleSoft.  All departmental applications should be submitted no later than Friday, October 21st and Dean’s approval is required by Friday, October 28th.

Tagging of sections with DL fees will be available beginning Tuesday, November 1st.

Each semester, we take the opportunity to remind campus that Pepsi has the exclusive pouring rights contract for UF. This means that only Pepsi products (including Aquafina bottled water and Gatorade) may be served on campus, or at the University Athletic Association, UF Foundation, UF Health and Shands Hospital properties.  This exclusivity extends to events as wide ranging as a faculty meeting, dean’s luncheon, staff retreat, catered function or special event.
