A Schedule of Paydays and Critical Dates for Fiscal Year 2008-2009 can be accessed on the Payroll, Finance and Accounting website at: http://fa.ufl.edu/payroll/paydays-2008-2009.asp The schedule includes T&L deadlines as well as the Human Resource offices deadlines to assure that all supporting documents are received in time for approval for the next payday.

Employees’ 2007 W-2 forms will be distributed from University Tax Services (Room 24, Tigert Hall) to departments on January 30, 2008. Employees will also receive an Employee Year-End Earnings Statement which will assist them in comparing the amounts on the W-2 form to the earnings, deductions, taxes and net pay on their last biweekly earnings statement for 2007.

2008 Internationalizing the Curriculum Grant Competition

Faculty members are invited to submit proposals for the sixth annual competition for internationalizing the curriculum. Up to 16 grants of $3000 will be awarded to faculty for proposals to modify existing courses to increase their international component or develop new courses with substantial international content.

The UF community should be on alert for a fraudulent e-mail message (subject: “VERIFY YOUR UFL EMAIL ACCOUNT NOW”) which is currently circulating on the Internet. This message is a ‘phishing’ scam — an attempt to lure recipients into revealing personal information for the purpose of identity theft.
