State of Florida AVIS Rental Contract Guidelines

We have recently had some confusion related to the rental of vehicles. The following information is provided for clarification.

Insurance – When renting a vehicle from AVIS on the State of Florida contract, liability/collision insurance coverage is provided in the rental cost when the vehicle is rented by an Eligible Customer for business purposes. The following guidelines govern the rental:

Sept. 11 Remembrance

The University on Monday will observe a moment of silence to mark the fifth anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

The observation will begin at 8:46 a.m., the time at which the first plane struck the first tower at the World Trade Center. The moment of silence will be accompanied by music to be performed on the university’s carillon, and University Police Department officers will lower the flag near Tigert Hall to half staff.
