Alachua County One Percent Discretionary Sales Surtax Ends December 31, 2002

The Alachua County one percent discretionary sales surtax expires December 31, 2002. For sales on and after January 1, 2003 please use the six percent base sales tax rate.

University units with taxable sales or services are expected to collect, deposit, and report sales tax including sales surtaxes. The University Women’s Club awards scholarships each spring to undergraduate Juniors and Seniors. These awards are named in honor of the wives of past University of Florida Presidents and distinguished administrators.
