Class “C” Meals

The state has passed legislation pertaining to Class “C” Travel. Reference is made to the State Comptroller agency addressed Memorandum No. 10, 2000-01. Effective July 1, 2001 travelers are no longer allowed to claim Class “C” meals. Class “C” are those meals consumed during business travel that do not involve an overnight stay. Departmental travel preparers will have a period of two weeks to forward claims for all Class “C” meals to the University Travel Offices. It is […]

State of Florida AVIS Rent-A-Car Account Excess Mileage Charge Change

Effective June 1, 2001, University rentals of Avis vehicles on the “FS” rate code will be charged an excess mileage charge when the rental mileage exceeds an average of 150 miles per day. The excess mileage charge applies only to the number of miles that exceed the average of 150 per day. This charge applies to rentals that originate and end in the State of Florida.
